Hass Avocados first sprouted up in Southern California. They are now the most popular and well known California avocado variety. Hass Avocados have a thick bumpy skin that turns dark and slightly soft to light touch when ready to eat. Hass is the most common variety found in grocery stores and is loved for its smooth creamy flavor and ease of separating the meat from the skin.

Blood oranges, which get their name from their crimson-red flesh are sweet yet tangy. Blood oranges have a much higher antioxidant content than any other citrus. Thye are good to eat by themselves, add to salads, salad dressings, or mix the juice with other orange juice. Great source of Vitamin C, fiber, folate, calcium, thiamine, and antioxidants!

Fuertes were once the main California avocado variety before the Hass gained in popularity. Very Creamy and buttery.

Flavorful green skin avocado variety with a creamy, pale green flesh and small to medium sized seed. Skin is thicker than other green skinned varieties and dull, not shiny. Peels easily. 

Other than the Hass this may be the most well-known and well-liked California avocado variety.

Valencia Oranges are great for juicing! Add some extra oranges for a fresh squeezed glass of orange juice each day.

Pickling cucumbers, also called gherkins, are small and firm, perfect for pickling. Their thin skin and crunchy flesh absorb pickling brine, creating tangy, flavorful pickles for sandwiches and snacks.

 Also known as Garden or American variety of cucumber. Smooth skin, great for slicing and salads.

Sweet, cinnomon flavored fall fruit. Fuyus can be eaten like an apple. Can be sliced and added to salads, oatmeal, or cereals. Slice and dry them to make a fruit leather snack. Fuyu persimmons are a non-astringent variety of persimmons. You know they are ripe when orange and firm to somewhat soft.
